Children's Creative Learning Center

Throughout childhood, children begin the process of discovery. Their experiences during these years are the stepping stones to a meaningful life. The messages they get during these early years will teach them if their environments are safe, whether their questions are important, and whether or not their ideas and voices matter.

At the Children's Creative Learning Center, we have been guiding children through this exciting time for more than 15 years. Our staff – some of whom have been with the Center for more than a decade – provide a safe, nurturing environment, where each child is respected and cherished. This positive environment helps them develop into capable, self-assured adults.

We believe that children learn through the opportunity to explore. So we provide an enriching, hands-on and developmentally appropriate curriculum for our children. Activities are centered on thematic units relevant to young children's lives. We provide developmentally appropriate activities in a fun and flexible environment. Teachers focus on making your child's day fun and exciting, with new materials and exciting activities. We encourage – but never force – children to to participate. We believe their natural curiosity will lead them to explore their environments, uncover new information, ask questions and, finally, gain new knowledge. We believe the role of the caretaker is to facilitate this process and to model respectful membership in the learning community.
